Thanksgiving layout

I decided that this year I was going to make a scrapbook with all the photos that I take holiday after holiday. Believe me I have tons of them.  I used CTMH papers and ink. I also used the new stamp sets featured in the new catty to be released January 1, 2011. TFL! Seven photos  down 1 trillion to go.

Barnhouse crop

We did a shoebox swap at Joy's barnhouse and it was so much fun. I can't wait until we do it again. Thanks to everyone for sharing their talents. The top box is the one I did and it is called a card box you can put tags or small flat candies in it.

Banner

I made this Happy Thanksgiving banner for my mom. I used stand and salute cart for the banner. I also made these blocks for my desk at work and I made the plate from the Thanksgiving solutions cart. TFL!

Room decorations

I like decorating for the Holidays and this is what I came up with this year. I used storybook and winter wonderland for the snowmen. I bought the huge Martha Stewart snowflakes last year at Big Lots for $1 a package. TFL!

Christmas treat boxes for grandsons

I used my sizzix die cut for this box and used a Martha Stewart punch for the snowflakes and I used stickles for a little bling. I made 64 of them.

Tissue box cover for April

I made this tissue box cover for my co-worker and friend April. No one but me ever brings stuff to work like tissue, candy, hand santitzer so I decided to make this for April so she can have her own box of kleenex at her desk. I don't mind sharing but when 25 co-workers use all your kleenex there is never any there for me when I need it. I used paper from Sweet Pea paper pack from Stamping Up. I also used a Martha Stewart punch for the butterfly and used my IRock for all the bling. TFL!

Tissue box covers

I love making these boxes from splitcoaststampers. They are so easy to make and they come out so cute. I think I will make more for the holidays. I used cricut cart Paperdolls cut at 3 1/2 inches and used CTMH papers for all the dolls, and inked the edges with chocolate ink also from CTMH. I used my new Peachy Keen stamps for the faces. I used S.E.I paperpack called Addison that I bought last year. I used a MS punch for the bottom border. TFL!

Cookie boxes

I got an email yesterday from InkingOutOfTheBox.com and she had the most awesome cookie box tutorial in the email. These boxes are so easy to make and I made these three in less than an hour, Go to her website and check them out. They only use one 12 x 12 sheet of paper. I used some K&Company paper that I bought last year and decorated them with tags that came with the paper. I will give these to my mom since she loves to bake and then she can fill each box and hand them out to her friends. They will hold on dozen cookies. Thanks for looking. Sorry about the crappy backgroud showing but my scrapbook room has the best lighting.

Halloween treat bags for co-workers

I made these little boxes using the Sizzix box 2. I used K&C comopany paper. I filled them with candy and passed them out. They loved them. The second photo is of treat bags that I made for Denise and Amanda's children to pass out at school. Thanks for looking.

KLEENEX BOX FOR MY MOM

After making the first kleenex box and seeing how easy it was I decided to make one for my mom. I used Kay and Co paper and used CTMH stamp set called THRILLER.  I made the flower at 1 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch, I also used stamps from SU for the inside of the little flower. I found the tutorial on Splitcoaststampers posted 10-20-2010. Go check it out. Very easy. I hope my mom likes it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Desk decoration

I bought my mom a cute collectable witches hat to use as a centerpiece on her table so I decided that I needed one for my desk. I used a dinner plate to cut out a circle shape for the cone and then a tupperware lid to cut the bottom. I then I used my Tim Holtz mini stapler to attach some tulle and green tissue paper and tied a orange tulle bow for the top. I cut the little witch out using Happy Hauntings cricut cartridge. I think it turned out pretty cute. Thanks for looking.

Kleenex box cover

On spiltcoaststampers today they had a tuturial on how to make a kleenex box cover. I used my new Cricut Imagine and cut the images from Happy Haunting at 5". I used kraft paper and inked the edges with chocolate ink from CTMH. I used the spiderweb embossing folder from SU. I also used a die cut from Provocraft for the little bats and spider on top. Go check out the video it is a very easy project to make.

Work weekend

Another weekend over and we had to work both days...Saturday and Sunday. It was the Rose Festival in Tyler, Texas. The weather was fantastic and the customers were great. We had our show at our Rose Garden here in town. The flowers were beautiful.
This is going to be one fantastic week coming up. The Texas Rangers travel to New York to play the Yankees(boooooo). I get to go see former President George W. Bush speak at our local college and then we travel to Mansfield to do the Mushroom festival. Wohoo.
Every day is a great day and the weather has been fantastic. It takes me a day to recover from working so I will be crafting more this week.
Thank you my blog followers for following my blog and for being patient with my blog postings. I especially want to give a shout out to one faithful blog follower. Her name is Barbara. She has a fantastic blog and she makes the most awesome dolls, as well as other paper crafts.......visit her at
http://whimcees.blogspot.com/. She always leaves the nicest comments.
Thanks and have a great week.

Card for my Niece

My Niece Amanda and my sister Martha came down for a visit and the fair was going on the we were super busy so I asked Amanda if she wanted to work for a couple of hours and she said yes. I wanted to send her a thank you note so I made her this card with the CI and the cart Best Friends. TFL!

CRICUT IMAGINE

Okay I couldn't resist and I bought the Cricut Imagine when it was on sale on HSN. It was too good of a deal to pass up. I am still learning how to use it cause right after it was delivered the fair started and I was not really able to play with it. So far I really like it and I think it has lived up to everything it says it can do. Here is a picture of my new toy.

Business cards

I made these cute business cards using my new Cricut Imagine. I used the cart Best Friends and cut them out at 2.3 inches. I sponged the edges with cocoa ink from CTMH. Thanks for looking.

Finally back to normal I think?

Well the fair has ended and I survived working 11 days straight and standing on my feet 15 hours a day plus doing two shows on top of doing the fair and all is back to normal. Well except maybe house cleaning and washing. The weather for the fair this year was beautiful and sometimes even a little chilly compared to last year which was 100 degrees plus everyday of the fair.  A new fair was hired which had some really cool rides and an awesome petting zoo and some really nice employees. Everyone was nice and people were there to spend cash. This may be the last year to do that as everyone starts to tighten their belts for the months of uncertainty ahead of us.
I made the front page of the local newspaper which was awesome so being some sort of a celebrity I am packing my bags and heading to 'HOLLYWOOD". Not really! I did make a commercial for the local tv station and was quoted in the newspaper and now making the front page so this year has been totally awesome. Now if I could just win the lotto things would be perfect.
I am having crafting withdrawls and have not crafted since September 19th when I made 15 Baptism invitations. Dang and I think I lost my mojo............have no fear though I have been staying up late viewing all kinds of blogsites and watching tons of videos......so look for some new postings soon.
I broke down and bought my self two new toys.............will post pictures on Sunday. I decided might as well get them now while I had some spare cash and besides I will never be able to afford to retire so I might as well spend my cash now.
We have 11 shows left this year....man my poor feet and back. But it is fun and worth all the hard work so I can buy the things I like to play with. I work for a friend during the weekends going to differant venues selling food......like funnel cakes, fried pickles, hamburgers, corndogs, turkey legs and assorted fair foods.
I am sitting here resting before I leave work to go work...we will be in Marshall, Texas working the FIREANT FESTIVAL. Have a great weekend and go out and enjoy the beautiful weather. PEACE!

I made the front page of our local newspaper

Every year I take a vacation to work at our local East Texas fair. I  have worked in the Sweet tooth  booth for the past three years and every year we come up with wild and crazy food. This year it was CHOCOLATE COVERED BACON. Too funny but believe it or not people eat it. It has a really good flavor if you can get past the chocolate...........it tastes like chicken!

I won some blog candy!

WOOT, WOOT! I won some blog candy from I LOVE REALLY REASONALBE RIBBON. The ribbon they sent me is fantastic! I can't believe I won. I used some of the ribbon on my Halloween paperbag mini book. You should all go check out their blog. They have some wonderful ribbon there. Thanks ladies for my prize. Aren't they just yummy? I won more but my battery died on my laptop where my pics are.

Scal cut

I have really been intimated by the SCALbut the other day I decided that the SCAL would not get the best of me so I traced an image and used ACY cart and this is what I came up with. I plan on giving this to my mom since we all hang around the house during the holidays. I found the plate at $tree. The best store ever! I cut the words at 6" and the shape at 4". TFL!

Kim's baseball boy

A co-workers son needed a tag for school so he could hang all his artwork from it at school so she knew I had a cricut so she asked me to make her one and this is what I came up with. I cut him out at 10 inches using EDPD. His school colors are blue and red and they are called the Panthers. Her son as well as the teacher loved it. Her son calls me "The expert" now. I love doing stuff like this for the kids cause the enjoy it the most. I was happy that he has the best clip in the whole class. TFL! I don't know why they always turn sideways when I post these. Maybe my friend Pam will figure this out for me. (hint, hint)

Halloween Mini Book

I decided to venture out and try to make a paper bag mini book. I used 8 lunch bags and covered them and inserted tags and made little pockets. I have not finished it but I thought you would like to see my book in the making. This was a pretty easy book to.....it's the decorating that gets me. Once again I used K&Company paper pack. I covered 6 x8 pieces of chipboard for the cover and the back and punched two holes in it for the binding because I didn't have one inch binders for my bind it all. But after I punched the holes in there guess what I found at HL....yep one inch binders. Man I was mad because I really wanted to bind it. Oh well. I will show the finished product after I get through with our 10 day show at the fair. Tired just thinking about working. Thanks for looking.

Fall card swap

I know that we should be getting our swaps soon so I can post these now. I used all close to my heart products for our swaps. I think they came out pretty good. Thanks for looking

Happy Hauntings

I made this card using the Happy Hauntings cricut cartridge. I used K& COMPANY paper and added bling. TFL!
