Mini purse exchange

I participated in a paper mini purse swap. It was hosted by Ileana Marzan. I found her on Facebook and she has some cool swaps going on right now. Go check her out.

My partner was Tamra Kilgore-Merrill. She did a wonderful job creating her bag. I have it sitting on my shelf of fame....This is a shelf I have where I put all my favorite items that I have made myself or have been given to by someone special.

This was a fun group to be a part of and I thank Ilena for letting me play. Tamera's purse had lots of bling and if it had been a full size purse I would probably be using it right now.

Here is the purse that I sent to Tamra for my exchange. I filled it with goodies. I hope that she liked it. TFL!

Babycakes Pennant Frame

I promise only one more project after this with the Babycakes paper pack (X7173B). This pack has since been retired from the Close to My Heart Catalog. But have no fear we do have more cute paper coming out when the new catalog debuts on August 1, 2014.

CTMH sells these cute pennants called My Creations Pennant Frame (Z1941). They are only $8.95. There are millions and millions of projects that can be done with these. They will fit up to a 6 x 6 photo. You don't even have to add a photo just add some treasures or sayings to the box.

Like I said I used the Babycakes paper for this project I only have a couple of pieces left. I also cut some shapes out using my CTMH Cricut Artbooking Cartridge (Z1906). There are so many cute cuts on this cartridge that it has become one of my go to carts. I cut the cute giraffe and tiger. I used real dial size to get the correct size needed. I used the Martha Stewart scissors to cut the Buttercup cardstock (1271) to look like grass and inked the edges with chocolate ink(Z2111). For my photo frame I cut a piece of B&T and inked it with chocolate CS (X5643).The banner on top was cut out of Buttercup and filled in with scraps of B&T papers and inked with chocolate. I used a left over flower from the stickease assortment and a some left over wood rimmed buttons as well. I used a small peice of Bronze shimmer trim(Z1849). For my inside photo holder again a left over peice of B &T was used. Overall I think that all the projects I made with this paper pack came out really cute.

I just wanted everyone to see what could be made with one paper pack. I actually used two to get all my projects made. I made two mini albums, one sidestep card, one box card and one pennant from this paper. Now why don't you try to use up some of the paper that we (I) have been hoarding and get your creative juices flowing. TFL!

Waterfall folio mini album

Obviously my favorite paper pack out of the 2013 Close to My Heart  catalog was Babycakes (X7173B). This paper pack was retired this year when our new 2014 Autum/Winter catalog was released. I have made several projects with this paper. I think I may have just enough to make one small mini.

I used to be paper hoarder....scared to cut my paper but I decided why not. Showcase that paper!Let the world see what can be made with this cute paper. I have made several cards and three mini albums so far just out of this paper pack. Of course I had two packs but this paper went a long way.

As usual I found my inspiration on YouTube. Her name is Ginger and she is an excellant teacher. I love all her videos and even though I don't use the same paper she does my albums look  just as good. Most of my mini's have been made using her tutorials. Go check her out at the following link My Sisters Scrapper

I used all CTMH products except for the chipboard. I just love how this turned out. I WILL be making another one with differant paper. I think it took me 3 hours to make. Now that I know how I think I can cut that time in half.
This is the front cover. I used a Babycakes Picture my Life 3x4 card
Here is what the inside looks like with a pocket on the left side with 4 more PML cards inserted. I used leftover stickease stickers for the center spine.
This is the waterfall mechanism laying flat. There are 7 flaps total with 15 spots for journaling or photos.
Here is the last flap of the album. This was a really quick and easy project to make and it did not use up a whole lot of paper. So even if you had just a few sheets you can make this album.
These are the Babycakes Picture my Life cards that CTMH offers(Z1943). This was first offered in the 2014 Spring/Summer catalog. I inked all the edges with Chocolate Ink (Z2111). TFL!!

Circle Side Step Card

I found this cute circle side step card on YouTube and decided to give it try. I used my favorite paper pack BabyCakes (7173B) from CTMH now retired as well as the strickease stickers (X7173C). I cut my circle at 6" using the Cricut Explore. I then scored and cut my Circle Side Step Card. Here is a link to the YouTube video that was used in creating this card Circle side step card TFL!
