KLEENEX BOX FOR MY MOM

After making the first kleenex box and seeing how easy it was I decided to make one for my mom. I used Kay and Co paper and used CTMH stamp set called THRILLER.  I made the flower at 1 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch, I also used stamps from SU for the inside of the little flower. I found the tutorial on Splitcoaststampers posted 10-20-2010. Go check it out. Very easy. I hope my mom likes it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Desk decoration

I bought my mom a cute collectable witches hat to use as a centerpiece on her table so I decided that I needed one for my desk. I used a dinner plate to cut out a circle shape for the cone and then a tupperware lid to cut the bottom. I then I used my Tim Holtz mini stapler to attach some tulle and green tissue paper and tied a orange tulle bow for the top. I cut the little witch out using Happy Hauntings cricut cartridge. I think it turned out pretty cute. Thanks for looking.

Kleenex box cover

On spiltcoaststampers today they had a tuturial on how to make a kleenex box cover. I used my new Cricut Imagine and cut the images from Happy Haunting at 5". I used kraft paper and inked the edges with chocolate ink from CTMH. I used the spiderweb embossing folder from SU. I also used a die cut from Provocraft for the little bats and spider on top. Go check out the video it is a very easy project to make.

Work weekend

Another weekend over and we had to work both days...Saturday and Sunday. It was the Rose Festival in Tyler, Texas. The weather was fantastic and the customers were great. We had our show at our Rose Garden here in town. The flowers were beautiful.
This is going to be one fantastic week coming up. The Texas Rangers travel to New York to play the Yankees(boooooo). I get to go see former President George W. Bush speak at our local college and then we travel to Mansfield to do the Mushroom festival. Wohoo.
Every day is a great day and the weather has been fantastic. It takes me a day to recover from working so I will be crafting more this week.
Thank you my blog followers for following my blog and for being patient with my blog postings. I especially want to give a shout out to one faithful blog follower. Her name is Barbara. She has a fantastic blog and she makes the most awesome dolls, as well as other paper crafts.......visit her at

Thanks and have a great week.

Card for my Niece

My Niece Amanda and my sister Martha came down for a visit and the fair was going on the we were super busy so I asked Amanda if she wanted to work for a couple of hours and she said yes. I wanted to send her a thank you note so I made her this card with the CI and the cart Best Friends. TFL!

CRICUT IMAGINE

Okay I couldn't resist and I bought the Cricut Imagine when it was on sale on HSN. It was too good of a deal to pass up. I am still learning how to use it cause right after it was delivered the fair started and I was not really able to play with it. So far I really like it and I think it has lived up to everything it says it can do. Here is a picture of my new toy.

Business cards

I made these cute business cards using my new Cricut Imagine. I used the cart Best Friends and cut them out at 2.3 inches. I sponged the edges with cocoa ink from CTMH. Thanks for looking.

Finally back to normal I think?

Well the fair has ended and I survived working 11 days straight and standing on my feet 15 hours a day plus doing two shows on top of doing the fair and all is back to normal. Well except maybe house cleaning and washing. The weather for the fair this year was beautiful and sometimes even a little chilly compared to last year which was 100 degrees plus everyday of the fair.  A new fair was hired which had some really cool rides and an awesome petting zoo and some really nice employees. Everyone was nice and people were there to spend cash. This may be the last year to do that as everyone starts to tighten their belts for the months of uncertainty ahead of us.
I made the front page of the local newspaper which was awesome so being some sort of a celebrity I am packing my bags and heading to 'HOLLYWOOD". Not really! I did make a commercial for the local tv station and was quoted in the newspaper and now making the front page so this year has been totally awesome. Now if I could just win the lotto things would be perfect.
I am having crafting withdrawls and have not crafted since September 19th when I made 15 Baptism invitations. Dang and I think I lost my mojo............have no fear though I have been staying up late viewing all kinds of blogsites and watching tons of videos......so look for some new postings soon.
I broke down and bought my self two new toys.............will post pictures on Sunday. I decided might as well get them now while I had some spare cash and besides I will never be able to afford to retire so I might as well spend my cash now.
We have 11 shows left this year....man my poor feet and back. But it is fun and worth all the hard work so I can buy the things I like to play with. I work for a friend during the weekends going to differant venues selling food......like funnel cakes, fried pickles, hamburgers, corndogs, turkey legs and assorted fair foods.
I am sitting here resting before I leave work to go work...we will be in Marshall, Texas working the FIREANT FESTIVAL. Have a great weekend and go out and enjoy the beautiful weather. PEACE!
