Laila

This is a layout of my niece Laila that I took of her last year. This is based loosely on a sketch I found in one of the CTMH books. Once again trying to use my stash up, you never really know how much you have until some one challenges you to use what you have.

So for my stash I used a sizzlx die that I bought years ago, chipboard letters, ribbon and buttons. I also used some paper I bought at Tuesdays Morning for $5 for a pack of 150 sheets. I also used some paint I had bought from CTMH...not really paint but it is white and you add drops of ink and it changes color plus adds some shimmer to it. I found some doilies under some other stuff(junk) and I inked those up and added them to the bottom of the layout. I think it came out okay.

I still have a long way to go to use my stash up. I think that if I didn't shop for at least a year I would not even put a dent in what I have. I was a minor hoarder at first but like cash I can't take it with me so I might as well use it. TFL!

Mom & Daughter

This is another photo I took Easter Sunday this one is of my Cousin's wife Cory and their daughter Sophia. I used an assortment of paper and elements. Ever since I have joined the Use Your Stash Blog Hop I have been trying to use items in my stash. It has been fun...like a kid in a candy store finding cool things I bought and then put away. It is amazing how much money is spent on scrapbooking items.

I scan the web everyday and get lots of emails on layouts and I also go thru my old CTMH books to get ideas for layouts. I really don't like to measure so I just go for broke. Isn't scrapping all about how we feel? When a photo speaks to me I just start adding and subtracting things. I may not be right but I enjoy it. TFL!

My BFF

I took this photo on Easter Sunday. This is my second cousin Danielle. She brought her best friend with her to celebrate our family reunion. I used papers from a pad given to me by a lady at work. It is a me & my BIG ideas paperback. I used the Cricut to cut out the letters. I used assorted items I had in my stash. I also wanted to get out of my comfort zone and make a layout with lots of layers and 3-D items. There is no rhyme or reason to this layout but I think it turned out okay. TFL!

Amazing Miya

This is a picture I took of my Cousin's daughter Miya on Easter Sunday. She was so proud of her crown. I love taking close up photos of children. Those innocent faces get me every time. I used Lucy papers from CTMH X7149B, Bitty Sparkles Z1263, Sparkles Flourishes Z1708, Creme Brûlée ink Z2167, Bamboo ink Z2103 and the following stamp sets...April Stamp of the Month S1204, and C1502 Princess Wings. I used black StazOn ink Z888 for the word Amazing. I was trying to get a brick look for the back ground but I didn't like the way it looked so that is why I random stamped the wings. I cut pieces of paper and just made rolled roses for the flowers. My inspiration came from the Wishes Book on page 113 Transfigure. I only used the right side for this one page layout. TFL!

Another Dotty for You Easter layout

I used the Dotty for You paper pack again. I just love the dot side of the two sided paper. I got my inspiration from on older WOTG paperback called Mayberry G1022 as well as the stripease that goes with that pack. I inked the edges with Bamboo ink Z2103, and used stamp set D1259 Eastertime. I also used the blue button assortment Z1371 and Lagoon Baker's twine Z1702, I also used Z1681 Dimensional Elements numbers and an old Marvy Oval punch. TFL!

Dotty Easter layout

I used the Dotty paper pack CC1013 from CTMH. I used the dot side of the double sided paper. I inked the edges with desert sand ink Z2118. I used the Cricut AP cart for 2012 and assorted chipboard for the word Easter. I also used some discontinued product such as the white Ricrac and the white daisy collection. I used dimensional elements inked with smoothie ink Z2196 and pin clips Z1612 and Baker twine Z1702. I used the Magic book for my layout inspiration by choosing Enchantment on pages 78-79. This is a picture of only four out of seven grandkids. TFL.

My Emma.....

This layout is made using the You and Me kit from CTMH. It was a special kit being offered for a short while. I did not get it the first time but my friend Glenda had an extra set and she gifted me with one. I added the daisy in the corner made using the Art philosophy Cricut Cart. I also added the chipboard "E" on her page and colored with smoothie ink.

The layout features my one and only granddaughter Emma. She loves posing for me as much as I love taking her photos. TFL!

My Patrick....

I love this photo of my grandson Patrick. We have had a family reunion every year for Easter since I was born. We started out small but now we have over 100 family members and friends participating.

Patrick was really enjoying his cupcake. Those eyes just say it all. Those little grubby fingers are so cute! The innocence of children is so amazing.

I used CTMH paper except for the cupcakes. I used some paper that I bought at Tuesday Morning. I used the Art Philosophy Cricut cart sold only thru CTMH. It has some really awesome cuts on it. The large ric-rack looking squiggly is chipboard that I bought last year in Arlington during the great American Scrapbook show.

I used my Zutter edge distresser to distress the edges. I also used dessert sand ink to ink the papers. TFL!

Wonderland

Who says you can't have winter in March? I saw this on the internet and I am so sorry I didn't write the blogspot down. You score your paper every two inches on a 12x12 sheet of paper then you turn 90 degrees and score again, you pick and choose where you want your doors to be. Then decorate the rest? Sorry I didn't crop the tv out in the back ground. TFL!
