Welcome to this month's technique blog hop, this month we are featuring embossing folders. CTMH has a great selection of embossing folders. This is our first year to carry them and they did a great job.
You should be coming from Michelle's blog . She showed an awesome way to use the embossing folders. Don't forget that this hop goes in a circle so if you get lost along the way go back to the beginning to Shirley's blog to see all the ladies participating in this month's hop.
I decided to make a Father's Day card for my Dad. I used a retired paper pack called Dreamin'
X7142B. I also used Chocolate ink Z2111 and square studs Z1705 in pewter also retired. For my stamp set I choose one of the hostess stamps B1448 My Hero. I used embossing folder Quatrefoil Z1926. I used a card recipe from My favorite Things pattern MFTWSC58. I embossed all the papers and then inked them all in chocolate to give them depth. This folder reminds me of a Turkish bath house. Not that I have ever been to one...lol. I think the card came out really nice. I am sure that my Dad will love it.
He has kept most of the things that we have made for him throughout our lives. I love to visit and check out his special drawer in his dresser where he keeps all his special gifts. He still displays a Dad and me mini album that I made for his birthday 5 years ago, His birthday is on November 11 and mine is on the 9th.
Now head on over to Judy Faye's blog and see how she used the embossing folders. TFL!
