Look what I made with my SCAL

I have been wanting to make some paper cones for the longest so I used my trusty SCAL and welded some triangles and circles and a trapazoid together and this is what I got. I am so proud of myself for doing this all on my own without help from Pam Thorn the queen of SCAL. This ended up being 7 inches long and you can fill it with lots of goodies.  I used CTHM textured paper and used an EKSuccess border punch for the edge. I kept rolling the punched paper in my hands to break up the fibers and then I wet the paper to soften it up and then I glued it to the edge. Wetting it makes it look like fabric when it dries and it is easier to manipulate in a curved position. I used brown bag ink to ink all the edges and I used the stamp set D1361 Thank you. TFL!

Business card holder

I found this cute tute on this website http://www.paperboutique.blogspot.com/ . This is a business card holder using the CTHM Sophia paperpack. This is made with a 4x6 3/4 pc of paper. She used matte finish mod podge to make the paper shinny. I could not find mine so I just lined it with some clear contact paper. You will also need 2 2x3 pcs of paper accordian folded every 1/2 inch. Round the corners at the top and attach the small pieces of paper on the bottom and just fold the top over attach with a magnet or velcro and you have a cute little business card holder. TFL!

I made this mini book for my grandaughter Emma. I found this tutorial on http://www.paperphenonemon.blogspot.com/ . I have made three of her books. She uses paper bags for the pages. This book has lots of room for pictures and for journaling. Guess what I used CTHM Sophia paperpack again. This pack is so pretty. TFL!

Every night before I go to bed I love to surf the web. I have seen many ladies making mini books and I have made a few and just absolutly love making them.  This one I made from a tutorial from Kathy Orta at Paper Phenonemon. She totally awesome...check her out at http://www.paperphenonemon.blogspot.com/ . I used CTMH  Sophia paperpack for this mini. It only takes one 8x11 1/2 sheet of paper and the size ends up being 4 x 3 1/2

Minnie Invitations

I was asked to make 50 birthday invitations and before I realized what I was saying I said "YES". Well thanks to the best SCAL user in the world Pam Thorn she helped me make the design using the SCAL. I cut these all out in one day and then assembled them in one night. In this photo I did not add the white dots to the bow but the finished product had them. The lady I made them for loved them. I couldn't have done this without the help from Pam. TFL!

CRICUT TABLE DECORATIONS

This is what I made for my table decoration for the Texas Stampede held in Frisco. The smaller cards were my calling cards with my info on the back of them. I received many awesome cards during the swapping. I made this using the Life's a Beach cart and all CTMH paper. TFL!

Kleenex box

We went to a CTMH retreat on February 18th, 19, and 20th in Gainsville, Texas. We had a blast. There were about 40 women present. We were asked if we wanted to make a project with instructions so others could make it too.  I decided on the Kleenex box found on Splitcoaststampers. I used the Wings paperpack from CTMH. When you purchase a workshop on the go from CTHM it comes with an instruction booklet on layouts and cards. I just used the card layouts for each panel. I know have it sitting at my desk at work. TFL!

Vanesa's kleenex box

Well if you make something for someone at work it never fails that someone else always wants one too. I don't mind at all. I made this for Vanesa to put on her desk. I used a varity of papers and the Martha Stewart butterfly punch and stickles for her box.

volcano

I was asked to make a volcano for a friend for her scrapbook layout. She tried buying one on line but they were way to expensive and would not get here in time for her scrapday. I made it with my cricut and used CTMH paper. For the flames shooting out I used some grass and made it two sizes so it would look like lava squirting out. She really liked how it turned out and she even payed me $5 for making them.

Birhday treat bags

Once again I was asked at work if I could make some treat bag designs for a lady for her son's 2nd birthday. She was using a dinosaur theme. This is what I came up. Ten for girls and ten for boys. I never saw the finished bags but she said the came out really cute and she had a hard time keeping the boys away from the pink dinosaurs. I used CTMH paper and googly eyes and of course my trusty Cricut. TFL!

Last of the treat bags

I make treat bags at work for several co-workers and then for some people outside of my job. I love making them and I get paid to do it so why not. I use the money to buy more candy and more supplies. I get personal satifaction knowing that so many people like my treat bags. I make almost 120 every holiday when the students are allowed to have a party. I make 65 for my grandchildren alone. TFl!

Cards for Linda

Linda my co-worker asked me to make her some Valentine cards for her neighbors. This is what I came up with. I used a varity of paper but mostly CTMH. TFL!

More treat bags for Vday

I made these for Kim for her son. His schools colors are red, blue and white. Not your tradional Valentine colors. He loved them. I used my sizzix mini milk carton die and Creative Critters from Cricut for the puppy. Of course I used my favorite paper from CTMH and I used  black stickles for the eyes and I cut the heart out from a punch and put it on the pup's collar for Vday without it being to girlie.
